Beste named Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques
We are happy to announce that Beste has been named Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques. Ms. Kalender is excited to have the chance to represent her adopted country Canada. She will be performing at the gala in Montreal on November 10, 2013. Along with other laureates, Beste will perform at the Bourgie Hall of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts to an audience that includes prominent directors from several European opera houses.
Beste joins the CoOPERAtive Program at Westminster as a Fellow Artist
In July 2013, Beste joins the CoOPERAtive Program. Directed by Westminster voice faculty members Laura Brooks Rice and Christopher Arneson, the CoOPERAtive Program is presented in cooperation and consultation with professionals in the field of opera.Beste will be working with distinguished musicians, artists, and directors such as Susan Ashbaker, Sandra Bernhard, Pierre Vallet, and Kathleen Kelly.

In June 2012, Beste Kalender will be playing the role La Zia Principessa in Puccini’s Suor Angelica. The performance is part of the Opera on the Avalon Music Festival 2012, which takes place this summer in Newfoundland.
