Beste in the title role at Music Academy of The West’s production of Rossini’s La Cenerentola

Beste is back for a second year at celebrated mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne’s program Music Academy of The West Summer Music Festival in Santa Barbara, and will be performing the title role in Rossini’s La Cenerentola on July 30th and August 1st at The Granada Theatre.

Beste Kalender performs Carmen and Mercedes with Calgary Opera

Beste named Jeune Ambassadeurs Lyriques for a second time

Beste will have the privilege to perform for the directors of the European Opera Houses for a second time in Montreal.

Concerts will take place in Montreal on November 15th and 16th, 2014.

Beste is a Young Artist at Calgary Opera Emerging Artist Program during Season 2014-2015

Beste has recently joined Calgary Opera Emerging Artist Program for Season 2014-2015 and will be performing roles such as Jean, Vicomte de Morcerf (Le Portrait de Manon, Massenet), Marcellina (cover) (Le Nozze di Figaro, Mozart), and Mercedes (Carmen, Bizet).

Beste named Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques

We are happy to announce that Beste has been named Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques. Ms. Kalender is excited to have the chance to represent her adopted country Canada. She will be performing at the gala in Montreal on November 10, 2013. Along with other laureates, Beste will perform at the Bourgie Hall of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts to an audience that includes prominent directors from several European opera houses.
